The Story of Easter
You may have heard how Jesus was taken from the Garden of
Gethsemane, how His disciples fled, how Peter denied Him, how He was beaten and
scourged, how He was led up Calvary's mountain, how He was nailed to a tree, how
He suffered and died...
But have you heard the rest of the story? Have you
heard how He conquered death, how He had victory over sin, how the grave could
hold Him no longer, how the stone was rolled away, how He rose from the dead the
third day, how He is risen today?
He is risen indeed! Jesus Christ is risen today
and He has offered you a free gift. His gift of Salvation is for "whosoever
will call upon His Name." His Word says, "Whosoever will call upon the
Name of the Lord shall be saved." It is for "whosever believeth in
Him." His Word says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have
everlasting life." The story of Easter is a story of Jesus' Love for
whosoever. It is a story of love for you and me.
Easter is about Jesus dying on that lonely cross
and rising from the dead so we might be free. When that stone was rolled away
and Jesus conquered sin and death, all eternity was changed. The price was paid.
We could be free from sin and death.
My friend, Jesus is risen indeed. Have you called
upon His Name? Have you believed in Him? Jesus has paid for your sin. All you
must do is believe and ask for His Salvation. Have you?
Jesus Christ is risen. He is risen indeed! May He
be risen in you today. May you know His Truth and experience His Love. May you
celebrate the story of Easter in your heart and in your life today.
Happy Easter for He is risen indeed!
