Peace of Heaven's Lake of Shining Waters provides
4-season recreational
enjoyment for people of all
ages and interests. Listen to
the lapping of the water
flowing into the lake while
you read your favorite new
book from the Guest House library. Have your camera
ready for your next award
winning shot as you wait for
a resident Canadian goose
to introduce her newest
brood. Be still and you might
get a shot at a trophy buck or resident elk taking a drink
from the cool mountain
spring. Be inspired to mount
up with wings as eagles as
you watch a soaring eagle
dip down to get a bird's eye
view of the lake's fishing potential. Grab your pole and
try your own luck. The fire pit
is ready to prepare your
catch of the day.  Mount your sled, take a deep breath, and hold on. Whatever your
interests, the Lake of Shining Water beckons you to come,
be still and reflect on the
beauty of God's Creation.

Bottle feeding was lots of fun.



He made friends with all and
was enemy to none.



Each life he touched was
changed forever.



Not a "normal white-tailed deer," Bambi was the greatest ever.

Ranch Activities
much to do...much to learn

Games/Sports
Whether you are an avid sports enthusiast or a recreational player, hours of game and sports fun are available on the ranch: basketball, baseball, soccer, tag football, crochet, laser tag, treasure hunts, game tables (foosball, hockey, ping pong, pool), board games, puzzles, card games, and more.

Library
The ranch library offers hours of reading enjoyment for our reading guests. Are you in the mood for a good movie? You will find a wide variety of choices in the video section.

Hiking
If the great outdoors calms your soul and draw you closer to the God of creation.... if a majestic sunset steals your breath away and causes you to thank God for every breath of life...if rippling creeks and clear, still lakes fill your spirit and flood you with peace ....
Then the Idaho Ranch is the place for you. With acres and acres of land to find quiet spots to
reflect or nooks to explore, Peace of Heaven is a place to be at rest.

Horse Back Riding
The trails are endless. The views are unbelievable. If you like to ride, this area is unsurpassed in its riding opportunities.

Singing
These hills are alive with music. Listen closely and you might hear the Nickerson Family Singers praising the Lord for His Faithfulness and singing about the beauty of His Creation.

Sledding/Snowboarding
Mount Nickerest is a favorite sledding and snowboarding hill. Put on your helmet and test your skill. Beginner, intermediate and expert runs available.

Swimming
The ranch pool is currently out of operation, but the spring-fed lake provides plenty of water sport opportunities.

Wildlife Viewing
Abundant wildlife inhabits the Idaho Ranch. From stately bucks and graceful does,
to friendly hummingbirds and majestic bald eagles, Peace of Heaven is a
safe haven for all of God's creation.

Woodworking
The Carpenter's Shop is where many of our heirloom Mount N Treasures have been designed and created. It has also been a refuge for many visiting shepherds needing a place to build something with their hands. Work centers are set up with everything you need to design and build your own Mount N Treasures. If you can imagine it, you can probably find what you need to build it in the Carpenter's Shop. A visit to the Carpenter's Shop is sometimes exactly what a weary soul needs...
